About an hour from our RV park.

Had a bit of heat stroke yesterday so we came prepared with hats, water, Gatorade, and chairs. We didn't really hike but drove to several scenic spots and explored the area safely.

Ok he only pretended to touch. We know it probably has no see ums.

Supposed to be alligators but with the low water and drought we didn't see any. But maybe you can?

The nature center. The ranger told us so much about the park and alligators. The ones below are rescued and one year old. Less than a foot. She said they lose their stripes at about two years when they are three feet and leaving their mama. The alligator lays about fifty eggs in a nest.

While we were here we saw a deer and a second one while driving to the next area.

I had told the ranger we weren't hiking today and she suggested this lake so we knew it wouldn't be far. It really looked more like a river. This whole park is fed by the Brazos River tributaries. The Brazos runs through the entire state of Texas.

Tarzan!

And Jane

It was definitely worth the drive. Fun day.
